But I digress ...
-- The coaches got done early, probably because officials have to clear the room and lay down a plastic groundsheet for when Billy Donovan comes in this afternoon. Every time I talk to him I feel like I have to go wash my hands. He looks like he styles his hair by going over to the Jiffy Lube and moving his head up and down under the oil change rack.
-- Surprise, surprise, Kentucky's Billy Gillispie had the biggest crowd around him. He's an entertaining guy.
-- UK's Patrick Patterson broke the suit mold, arriving in a sweater and slacks. There were two Mississippi State players yesterday who had on button-downs and no ties, but Patterson is the first sweater, proving once and for all that when you're averaging over 16 points and seven rebounds per game, you do what you want.
-- Great talk with Georgia coach Dennis Felton, who had the Western Kentucky job before Darrin Horn did. Very interesting comments on his relationship with Horn. More on that later.
-- Off the point completely, but AC/DC's new album is OK. I put it in the "Fly on the Wall" category, a couple of good tunes and the rest just that classic AC/DC sound. No bad tunes on the album, but a far cry from "Highway to Hell."

Halfway through Day 2 and the first six coaches are out of here, although Ole Miss' Andy Kennedy and Renee Ladner had to call in on a teleconference because of plane trouble. One of these days you people are going to listen to me and think, "Just how do they get something as long as a city block up in the air?" and you'll quit putting your lives in the hands of somebody you've never met.
But I digress ...
